Jamie Whincup is offering members of his online community the chance to win a hot lap in his TeamVodafone Falcon! To win, existing members must refer as many new members to the community as possible within the time specified. This is a chance to help promote Jamie and his site, and your chance to win a money can’t buy prize at the location of your choice! So spread the word and make sure every new member you refer adds you to their friends.

Terms and Conditions:
This competition is open only to members of jamiewhincup.com.au.
Competition period commences midnight March 28, 2008 and ends midnight April 20, 2008
To win, existing community members must successfully refer as many new members as possible. For a referral to count, the new member must add the referring member as the first friend on their list. The member who refers the most new friends by the conclusion of the competition period will win the major prize.
The major prize is a hot lap in the TeamVodafone Falcon with Jamie Whincup, valued at approximately $2,000.
The prize can be taken at either the Queensland Raceway Ride Day (July, date TBA) or the Oran Park Ride Day (December, date TBA)
All travel, transfers, accommodation and other expenses are at the cost of the winner.
The prize is not transferable.
The winning member must be over 16 years of age at the conclusion of the competition.
The winning member should not accept the prize if they are pregnant, have recently had surgery or have a pre-determined condition which may prevent them claiming the prize. The winning member should be reasonably fit and healthy!

how exactly do you refer friends? is there a special link we give them? or just get them to sign up and then be the first to add them?

Dean, tell them to head here, sign up and add you as their first friend, this counts as your referral.

i have one more question
im assuming you will use the computers IP address, to be make sure people arnt signing up a dozen fake accounts, under fake names?
my house mates said they will sign up (ive held them off for the comp) but we all share a compter?

Sounds lovely, cept I don’t really have anyone to refer… Most of my friends are either supporters of other teams/manufacturers or uninterested in Motorsport. Guess that counts me out… =(

How active do the members have to be - I can talk people into signing up but whether or not they are very active is another question! Mainly cause I am the only person in my circle of friends that love v8s!! Good point Corinne about computers and sharing one computer I could talk my mum into going on it but we only have the one computer

We will be extremely fair and just with this clause.
We realise that not all members are going to be on here day and night. But it will be fairly obvious if someone has just signed up with the intention of signing up for the sake of just winning the prize.
I would think that regular activity would include logging once a week max to get thier newly aquirred V8 news fix and a couple of discussion posts over the course of a month. We are trying to encourage people to join the community to enjoy it for what it is and not just win a hot lap.
I think that is a reasonable ask…….dont you all ?
CORRINE - It is not only URL based tracking so it wont make a difference if members use the same computer. I am not going to devulge the full details of the complete tracking system as that will only encourage some people to attempt to beat the system. As Ive said before we will be very fair and just……..No Nazi tactics for our loyal members!!

Thanks Matt, yes thats very reasonable. I definitely see what the competetion is trying to promote and i agree with it wholeheartedly just thought i would check it out. and its going to be exciting to watch the member count continue to rise! Hopefully the 500 will be cracked very very soon!
