Jamie is just getting better and better! If he drives like this next year, noone will be able to touch him on the championship table! I am soooo glad he got his surfboard - he’s been hanging out for one so long!

Well deserved! Keep it up Jamie - we want to see you take out the V8 championship this year!!!
GO JAME AND TEAM VODAFONE! (Good job sticking in the top 10 this weekend Craig!)

Not bad for a bloke that apparently cracks under pressure !

Super effort J-dub, and also a big congrats to Kev and the pit stop crew, they are just as much to applaud as Jamie.

A very measured drive, very straight and played the race to his strengths, particularly utilsing Corner exits to prevent attack in braking zones. Probably the most measured, calm and calculated races i have seen Jamie drive. Did what he had to and didnt extend himself or the car any further than required.

All round a very good result. That should give HRT and FPR something to seriously think about…..

Well done, thanks for a great race. to make pole with a bad gear box and to win all three race when you didn’t have a fast car goes to show what a great driver you are and what a great team Vodafone is. Keep up the great work.

That was honestly the best I have seen Jamie drive in his career. Sure Clipsal was a good dominant performance, and Bathurst was a superb drive…but this weekend he was just so switched on, and raced so well with the pressure from Tander. Looked like he didn’t miss one braking marker the whole way.

It was really a great performance from the top 3, and it looked to me like all three were pretty happy to be the ones on the podium, and being there together. As boring as it could get, I really hope the podium is just Whinners, Frosty and Tander for the rest of the season…that would be a great pressure cooker!

Good call there Muz, It was one of the races that will make the J-dub highlight reel !

Indy is a tough track, there are so many racing tripwires that are easy to trip on.. in particular the crowned roads, the white lines in the braking areas, the proximity of the walls… it would probably be the toughest track on the tour to sustain maximum pressure from a very motivated opponent.

Jamie did avoided all the tripwires, and drove superbly. His lines where (i think) slightly different to give himself good exits and look after those rear tyres. He was certainly driving the car very straight and using all of the road available to him.

And then doing all of that, whilst he has Tander, lights on, squarely glued to his ring piece the whole way. Tander applied absolute maximum pressure in all three races and not once did he even get a sniff of a passing opportunity. Jamie did all the work on the corner exits so Tander couldn’t get into position to outbrake him. It was a textbook demonstration of making the car work for you and exposing your opponents weaknesses (and blocking off his strengths).

I think the first corner in race two signalled Jamie’s game plan for the rest of the year. Garth had the corner, but Jamie took a deep breath and muscled him to the side in a sign of aggression we dont normally see from Jamie….. Maybe we might have seen a new side to Jamie that adds even more weight to his championship charge….
