Honestly, I have no idea what my name means. Just before I was born in 82 (geez, I”m old) there was some teacher who went to space with the name Christa. Dad seemed to like that name, so that’s what I was called.

Id never actually bothered to find out what mine means.

Apparently Claire means 'Bright and Shining' and i think i was named that coz my parents 'just liked it'.
Same goes with my middle name, Nicole. Funny though, my dad can NEVER spell it correctly.

Stacy is greek which means She who will rise again (which I keep doing!), and i’m not sure what Sollitt means, but it’s been around since the Middle Ages, and Sollitts were always Authority figures and good at keeping the peace.

Rachel = (Hebrew) Ewe, Little Lamb, One of purity (Bahhhhhhhhhhhh…) - a girl down the road was also called Rachel and mum thought it was a sweet name. If I was a boy I would have been called Joseph.

Marion = (Hebrew) bitter (don’t particularly like that meaning but just came across it cos I’ve never looked it up before - I am far from bitter!) or ’star of the sea’ if we consider it is derived from ‘Mary’ (much more appropriate). Alternatively - Marion can be Maid Marion aka Robin Hood’s love. Marion comes from my grandad’s mother (i.e. my great nanna). She is very much a part of me and all that is special and important to/about me.

McMahon = (Gaelic) Son of a bear, a hero. I love my Irish surname

So… Rachel Marion McMahon - Pure heroic star of the sea… or maybe… bitter bear-sheepy. It’s a tough call.

I’ll just stick with Maid Marion
