I am currently helping out on a V8 Supercar racing sim mod, and was just wondering if anyone knew the optimum running temperature for V8 Supercar tyres under racing conditions

It is common for the average tempreture of the trye surface to be up to 70 degrees Celsius but this does vary due to the track tempreture. The tempreture also varys per tyre depending on which tyre has the most load on it.

Thanks for that Josh. It can be a rather confusing thing. Lots of physics to take into consideration (and lets not get into setting up a sim car LOL)

It is a mod for rfactor called FVRV8. One of the guys who helped create it and I were discussing tyre temps and so I thought I would ask here to get some idea of what the temperatures were like in racing conditions. It all helps fine tune the realism of the game when they do updates of their mod.
