After Rach mentioned that the official V8 website was still to start their Tipping Comp I thought I'd see how much interest there is here to run a tipping comp.
I know I would do it for fun, but perhaps Matt could organise a small prize(a hat of something similar) at the end for the winner.
So post here if you are interested and feel free to add how many drivers we need to enter few round and the points allocated.
I have a few ideas but would love to hear what you think…

A couple of weeks before each round I will start a dedicted thread were everyone can post their tips, I’m thinking Pole and Place-getters 1st-8th, points system can be decided as a group.
Will wait until the end of the week(friday) to open official thread with rules and regs to allow everyone to have their say in what they would like.

Yep… I don’t think I need to say I’ll be in on this one!! I’ve already sent a cranky note to v8supercar.com.au on how they can ‘improve their site’.

Cool, looks like we have enough people who want the Tipping Comp to go ahead to make sure it is a little bit competitive and most of FUN
Rules and Regs
* Tips must be entered before the First Qualifying Session for that round starts.
* Pick Pole and 1st-8th Position.
* Tips may be changed as many times as you like up until Closing time.
Pointscore:
Pole: 3
1st: 8
2nd: 7
3rd: 6
4th: 5
5th: 4
6th: 3
7th: 2
8th: 1
And to make it a bit easier to get points, if you pick the correct driver but in the wrong position, you will receive 1 point.
Rules and point score(due to equal driver points if it should arise) may be revised during season.
Judges decision is final.
If anyone can think of anything else that needs to be added, please post them

sounds like a great idea Mel.maybe we could have little team vodafone cars with our registration numbers and names on the side of them to show which position their in.but then again that might be too much do you think.should be good fun.
