Howdy all,
Was just wondering if anyone knows if there is another v8 Supercar Xbox/PS game in the works. I have V8 Supercars 3 and even though Mr Whincup has always been one of my favourite drivers, I just cant bring myself to select him as he was still driving for Holden at the time lol (Tasman I believe?) Would be great to be able to race in the 88 Vodafone car!
Also does anyone have the Monopoly V8 game. Is it any good?
Troy

A mate that manages an EB Games store said that he has heard in his travels that there will be a V8SC 4. Not by Codemasters though.
It will be released on XB360, PS3 and PC I think. Apparently based more around the V8’s than mixed in with the European comps. Nothing official yet, but I reckon we’ll be looking at a late 2008 release!
Keep you posted!

The new Codemasters game “Race Driver: Grid” looks to be a remake of Dirt but for circuit/drift racing, and with an obvious omission - V8 Supercars. Now Dirt was a fun game, but lacked alot of features that should have been a given for a game following on from previous Colin McRae or Toca/Race Driver games, such as a decent career mode, and half decent online modes.
Now why Codies are leaving the V8’s out of their next big racing game I have no idea, and I could not for the life of me think of who would or could make the new V8SC4 game, perhaps Sidhe Interactive who made Rugby League 2, and that Melbourne Cup game…oh, maybe not…they made jackass the game too…ewww.
Hopefully some news comes thru soon about who will be making it…

I was just thinking this the other day (when i was playing supercars 2. supercars 3 is in the mail). But i have no problem selecting the Valvoline VT and showing the “top” drivers who’s boss.
Although the other day a computer controlled Jamie pulled the same pass on me at Clipsal turn 9, with 2 laps to go as he pulled on frosty last weekend.

Adam - You will definitely enjoy V8SC-3

V8SC3 Is great but i haven’t been able to find it on 360.
Richi 11:42 pm March 1st 2008
V8SC3 is not on 360. I’m not sure it is even on the 360 backwards-compatibility list for original xbox games.

Pretty sure it isn’t Richard. One thing stopping me from trading my XB in for a 360.
V8 SC 3 is really good, but would be better if the CG cars crashed, spun and hit each other more like in #1.
How about a V8 game covering all the cars over the last 10 seasons, rather than DTM, open wheelers, oval, etc.
Covering all the cars and tracks visited over the first decade of V8SC!

I’ve seen some pretty huge crashes in a couple of races I’ve done in V8SC3 - and not caused by me! The biggest one was at the start of a Clipsal race, it was a similar crash to lowndesy’s big one from ‘05 that took several cars out after the first chicane. There were cars going everywhere! And I managed to get through unscathed. So AI crashes do happen in the game, very rarely, but they do happen!

What an idea Ben! I love it. Then I can select Tasman 2005… with Jason Richards (sorry, Jamie)
and rip the competition apart!
I’ve been playing V8 SC 1 lately just to crash, V8SC 2 just towin easily, and V8SC 3 to, well, win and not crash. But in Pro Career I rig the game by spinning everybody.

I’ve got the V8 Monopoly Game. Just like any other Monopoly game but with Drivers instead of places to buy. Craig’s on there but Jamie isn’t. Instead of buying railway stations you buy tracks. There is a picture of a Vodafone car in the middle but can’t tell if it’s Jamie or Craig. Good fun if your a V8 fan and a Monopoly fan!

IF you want a relistic V8 supercar game, I suggest you download ” R FACTOR ‘ its free, and you can download updates for what series you want. You can even download the old Classics around Bathurst. Have a look on youtube. seach = “”R Factor v8 supercars”"

Troy i totally agree with i just purchased this game, i am totally hopeless at it and get all sorts of penalties! but i cannot select Jamie whilst he is in the holden. I usually go for craig or ambrose and then proceed to totally destory their cars or take out every holden i can get!
Stuie Crawford 8:14 pm March 29th 2008
I guys have to agree with you all, great game but just cant bring myself to select and Holden, hanging out for V8SC4, it will drive the wife mad when it comes out though as she will never see me again! ,lol, just like when i got V8SC 3.
