Did any one catch the news clip on triple 8 using Ethanol. Looked like they were at QLD raceway. Anyone know anything about this. Would have been nice to know I may have slipped away from work to get in on the action.

T8 were doing a test day and a few fans got hot laps but i didn’t know they were testing the new e85 today… I think its great that the sport is being so enviromently friendly .. for every race the plant trees to off set the emissions from not just the cars but also all the flights and transport needed to get to each race …. Going Green is yet another fantastic initative that V8’s have taken onboard ..

T8 had ride days on Thursday and Friday for the sponsors and fans that have won a hot lap, they aren’t able to test any components or anything on these days but in one of the cars they tested the new ethanol fuel. We had a quick chat to Craig about half way through and he said it is cleaner but doesn’t give them anymore horsepower or anything and he also said that so far they had used twice as much fuel using it, it smells heaps different to.

This is a lot of hot air.
Indycars run on 100% ethanol…that is truly green, not a measly 15%
