Hey Jo, it’s a street circuit so I know I will love it. It has all the usual street track things, crowned roads, bumps, man hole covers, leaves, white lines (Bad in wet), pissed dudes throwing bottles on the track, just kidding but it does have the lot…….
I am in Auckland for a few days and will get down to Hamilton Thursday morning. I have done my home work and know where the track goes.
As a spectator, do we prefer street tracks or race tracks?

I like Street tracks….There more exciting =)
They should put one in Wollongong when the knock down Oran Park =)

That is a hard one, they are all so different. They is a different atmosphere at street tracks for sure when you are there and they are great to watch. Is there many passing oppurtunites Jamie that is probably the big thing.
Kaz 12:14 pm April 15th 2008
I prefer the race tracks from a ‘viewing’ the action perspective (Oran Park, Willowbank, Sandown), but attending the street races are second to none, for atmosphere and ‘the lot’.

Well street tracks keep me on the edge of my lounge at home and are much more exciting but then if your in the lead by a mile it doesn’t mean you have won anything is possible. And race tracks are good just not as exiting, but hey any race is a good one!!

I like them both
They are both cool

Definitely a street track. The road bumps and extras make it more intense . Like how at Bathurst the skippies get in on the action. (So would the NZ equivilant be a Kiwi ha ha) I guess the down fall of course for a street race is the safety measures that are put in place usually make it a bit harder to really see whats going on on the track.

Street track - always. More exciting but all racing is good!!

I agree Jess, the gong along Harbour Street would be great..
Kate 12:31 pm April 15th 2008
The only street track i have attended is the GP from that i would have to say circuit i felt you could see more at a circuit, however the GP isnt a V*8 round so the short time they were on the track didnt help

Indy street circuit is good if you get an apartment in a high rise unit around the circuit you can see almost everything (that’s if you get a good unit).
Kate 12:43 pm April 15th 2008
yeah it would suck to be on the other side of the building!
Richard Sligh 12:58 pm April 15th 2008
I would have to say a street circuit but because thats the only one i have been to, indy that is and it is awesome

Racing is always edge on your seat stuff with street circuits and atmosphere is awesome….not good if you like to take photos, unless you have a room with a view…like this…===> http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v628/lowndes2b1/Indy%20300%20V8%20SUPERCARS/

Street Circuits are the best… When they used to have the Nissan Moble 500 on the wellington street circuit, it was amazing..!! No where better to watch cars race around than right down on the waters edge.
L v 1:35 pm April 15th 2008
haha woah dude. I just read ur name and was like why is James on here!! Wrong James clearly haha
Maid Marion 2:05 pm April 15th 2008
I’m biased… of course
Bathurst is the fave.
As a live spectator I love race tracks… but on the tele I’m not fussy either way.

Bathurst all the way. If it wasnt so cold i would move there.
Donna Williams 4:16 pm April 15th 2008
I am fairly new to watching the races, but passing moves on a street race are always nail biting…
Gen Quinlan 5:24 pm April 15th 2008
What ever it is i don’t mind as long as i get to watch it
