Jamie just wondering if the team has "Team orders". It appears that the reacing between the two of you was pretty tight on the weekend. Appaers to be healthy competition between the two of you. Does the team comment on this or do they let you do your thing.

Even though Jamie & Craig are team mates, i doubt that T8 would have team orders once on the race track, BUt unless your in with T8 who would know,
Maybe Matt Cousins can tell, as he has had experiance in that field

Pretty sure it would just be something like “you’re allowed to race each other, but if you take each other out you’re both in big trouble” .

I f you are the caliber of driver that JW & CL are, you shouldn’t need team orders. I think Jamie definitely proved that this past weekend. He raced his teammate hard, rubbed him a little, backed off, and even apologized. I’d have to agree with Troy’s statement above that they should be allowed to race each other but there would be hell to pay if they took each other out.

I dont know about anyone else but it was heart in mouth stuff. I doubt the team gives them orders but I know I was yelling at the TV for Craig to let Jaime pass lol. As much as I would like to see Craig win this year, I think Jaime has more of a chance to catch the Holdens.

Was watching it again last night, and was thinking that the close, competitive racing between CL and JW would have been good for the team. Racing a team-mate, they should be more controlled, but it is an opportunity to hone their racing skills… of benefit to both when they find themselves in a similar situation with another car…

This early in the season there would be no team orders, JW and CL love to race each other, but at the same time they give each other more room and respect than they would for other drivers. After Bathurst depending on championship positions team orders may come into effect, but like last year where they were both in contention for the championship there were no team orders,it was a matter of race hard, fair and make sure you both finish the race.

I spoke to Craig after the weekend, he said it was all good fun, no team orders involved. He was loving it, and the commentry he was giving me of what he was thinking and was up to in the car had me laughing very hard.

I could just imagine Craig taking it all in his stride lol.

I do think Craig and Jamie race particularly well as teammates, showing plenty of respect and allowing one another to pass whenever one has a clearly faster car (without just moving straight over either).
The hard part is not doing what Skaife did on Sunday and assuming everyone else will give you the same amount of room and respect when fightng for position.
