So I was just reading the Telegraph, and theres an article where Triple Eight will be getting rid of the Ford Logo on all there Merchandise, Race cars etc. All due to Fords recent decision to fund only 2 teams.
And heres the Article.

cheapskates. . . did you not hear what roland does

Yeah they are cheapskates and all, but I’m a ford supporter - so when I buy T8 merchandise next year, it will be disappointing not to have ford logo on it…I mean, they are still driving one after all…and they are still being supported by us ford fans.
Ford should pull their head in and give funding back before we end up with an unwanted third manufacturer.

Chances of Roland getting a Triple Eight Race Engineering Badge made up to replace the Ford badge in the grille?
or sumthing else will be done im sure as a final F.U. to Ford!!!
i dont really mind either way as i support the drivers, team & then the brand

I think that Ford shouuld support the V8’s over the bloody Geelong Cats AFL team !!

I think Ford would loose just as much support by doin that Bianca, Ford & the Cats are HUGE in Geelong!
was there a few weeks back and there was a guy with a XF Falcon painted in white & blue stripes!!!

A tripleeightacon…. I like the idea.
If Ford continue to scale back and with the globalisation of the motor industry, just how much longer Ford is a part of Geelong is questionable.

I think Ford will always be part of Geelong, because it’s more about the location of the team, rather than the team itself. I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Geelong, but it honestly feels like the city is built around the company… But then again, Ford lost alot of respect when they closed the doors (or threatened to do so at least - my memory has it’s moments) on one of the factories, so I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if that was the next step in cutting back costs.

From what I’ve heard, my dream has come true and ford has pulled their head in and will be backing other ford teams. Hope this isn’t just a rumour………

the sponsorship of Ford to Geelong is the longest in the world!
