Lets hope not. As competant driver as he is, the truth is he is not quick enough to keep the car at the front, meaning sbr will basically be like a 1 car team, wih them resting on Giz’s shoulder’s.

Though in saying that, i dont see many other oportunities for SBR.

Maybe the likes of Alex Davison (my opinion, this is not a fact lol) . He has announced that he wants to join the series and only for a team that could win him a championship. And i think he would fit in there really well.

Hmm, but that creates it’s own problems with Driver Lineup Experiance. No doubt, SBR will find the right person, they have done so in the past…

I really hope not , its time for some of the older drivers to hang up the keys esp if they are only in the race to make up car numbers , time to get some of these up & coming young guns in the main game !! At the end of the day they are the future of V8 Supercars , not these 40yr old men !!

Nickolas18, i think you should read a little better. ALEX doesn’t have a V8 Supercar drive at all….. He is driving for a Porsche factory team in Europe so i doubt he’ll be back to do Supercars full time. He has had some great results lately so i’d guess Porsche will be doing a lot to keep him… As for Will, either staying at Jim Beam Racing or heading to HRT/HSVDT………. Announcement due very soon!!!

Alex Davison would be a possible fit to the seat.
no point having Bargs there when they possibly will tell him to retire in a year!

Bargs is a great steerer but the sport has moved forward so much in the last 2 years and sorry Bargs your time as a full time driver in the main game is over. In saying that I hope Besnard doesn’t get the seat either. It’s a pitty that Will didn’t get the drive with SBR, it’s a pitty to loose him to a holden team and a holden team that’s got a lot happening at the moment.

Steve Owen would be a good fit but so would Jonathon Webb, both are being considered to replace good old Paul Morris. Will have to wait and see.
