what a great race for vodaphone. especially for Jamie. and Lowndsie up to 3rd. how good was it when he was banging on Tanders bumper. at least it got rid of that debris stuck in his grill.
well done Jamie

I know Stuart, it’s bloody great when he does it. The holden fans and some holden drivers are trying to say it’s cheating. Check out Jason Richards blog on v8 webpage. Lowndes Dirty??? It’s about him bumping, and some say it is cheating. Craig should do a media video with his top 20 bumps, Bumping Tander last race Phillip Island should be no 1!

Craig Lowndes is the original smiling asassin. Always smiling and happy on camera, but he still persists with this dirty “bump and run”, or “push to pass” overtaking.
I’m glad at least one 888 driver is a clean driver….

“Dirty”……”bump and run”…..”Lowndes”…. should these even be in the same sentence ??

I can see where you are coming from here Stig, but Craig is far, far away from being dirty. He is a tough racer. GT is generally rated amongst the V8 community as being the ‘most aggresive’ driver in terms of his on-track persona. It is rare that GT’s car comes back without minor cosmetic front damage. He races hard. Good on him.

BUT… as soon as somebody gives it to him, he is straight on the radio bleating like a school-girl. He did it at Phillip Island and he has done it again on Sunday. Toughen up Garth !!!! It is a classic case of dishing but can take it…. maybe instead of crying on the radio - get on with the job of driving your car… then you wouldnt have people rattling your bumper…

Perhaps the pressure is on ????? Ford has now won 4 from 5 rounds and GT is under the pump.

Darwin of course is a great track for close, hard racing. Right up CL’s alley.

Bring it on !!!!!

if Craig Lowndes is a dirty driver then everyone is.he’s a racer, rubbing is raceing,if Tander can’t get his finger out trying to drive outta the corner then move over or cop a few bumps.can’t forget the excuse from Tander last year at Sandown for a slower than expected qualifying lap, someone had put tape over the transponder beacon,he he he he he,thats a good one.it’s a qualifying lap for god’s sake, you push yourself and the car 110% all of the lap,not look at your steering wheel to see where you are,in front or behind

Bump drafting is dirty racing at it’s best. There is rubbing, and there is this deliberate hit the car in front, make him lose momentum, and then pass him stuff. I saw someone agrees with me on Motorsport News this week.
For the record, I have been a huge CL fan since Bathurst 95, but I just wonder if he has lost his edge lately, and is resorting to this stuff.
More importanly the officials need to stamp this out whether it be CL, GT, RI or whoever.
Unfair passing is NOT racing.

I feel that if the incident involving Lowndes was that blatant, then the IPO would have issued Craig a Stop-go or time equivalent penalty.

Tander was certainly being defensive, getting off the throttle mid corner to baulk Craig up… you dont always have to be behind to play dirty :-)

Storm in a teacup in the big picture.
