I'm not one to be a spoilt-sport, but what GT got in Race 3 was disgusting.
12 points. For an admitted "Careless Driving".
What a joke……

GT should’ve lost more points….But theres always next round and lets hope that Jamie can win QR and get back into the championship =)

I’ve never heard of a driver getting points taken off them for “careless driving”. Are they setting a dangerous precedent by doing this?

i agree with you Jess, it should have been more - one word mate - Karma..

12 points is probably a fair call. It was disguised quite cleverly as a racing incident even though you can see him easing some lock off from the rear facing camera on the #5 car…. One of the oldest tricks in the book….
All in all, it just wasn’t J-dub’s weekend. The rattle gun drama in race one and then getting squared up in races 2 and 3. He drove his absolute bollocks off but the result didnt do justice to the effort he put in. If that is a bad weekend, then i guess we can take that. After all, it was better than New zealand…
Poor old CL can’t take a trick either. Another very solid CL drive ending with another ultra-rare mechancial failure.
Best news the next round is home turf. Time to up the ante, and I am sure CL and JW will be up for some ‘Northern Hospitality’ and show HRT and FPR who is the king of QR…

I’ve recorded this and had another look… to me it looks like GT did turn the wheel to the right….
Can’t they have a look at the Telemetry data ??
I am really starting to get disillusioned with some of these decisions. I work as a flaggie at some of these events - and I’m starting to think about giving it up next year (may as well go this year, my airfares and accommodation are all paid up).

As far as i am aware Andrew they can monitor steering angle and wheel input from the data, unless that has changed recently. Matt could probably tell us for sure.
12 points is a decent slap when you consider last years title was decided by 2.
Still, It does not get Jamie his points back…

Yeah I agree,it did look like GT did delibratly pull he wheel to the right! Not only that but GT was blocking all weekend and he never got penalized for that either,12 point’s isnt a penalty! Not when the person it affected lost so much more than that!!!I also believe that GT’s blocking contributed to CL’s engine blow in race3!!He does seem to get away with alot, and I can guarantee if the boot had’ve been on the other foot there would’ve been drive thru penaltys and the like….GRRRR to GT!!!!!Who makes these ridiculous decisions that seem so Holden Bias????

I felt for Craig He is not doing well He is about 500 Points down on Mark.

GT should have been given a 34sec penalty which is equivalent to a drive through. we could clearly see it was intentional when watching the TV footage you could see his hands hitting him. it would have put him in 20th position and got 30 points not 86 and Jamie would have gotten another 4 points so its 60 points the difference. which would also close the gap to 8 points between Him and GT and open the gap up between GT and Frosty to 114 which is a nice lead to have coming into QLD raceway.
