Think it is going to have an effect on ALL sports. In motorsport its not only the cost of the fuel for competition but also in getting there - and that includes competitors, spectators and volunteers.

Won’t be that much of a problem for the high rungs of competition, but could have a big impact on club level though…

my thoughts are how much of an impact will the soaring prices off petrol have on spectators…. ?????
I for one know that my fuel bill to go to Bathurst this year will be doulbe that of last year and i dont have an extremely long way to travel unlike some people that drive from QLD and Vic and even further afield

Doe,
I’m one of them…. going to Bathurst and Oran park - from Adelaide.

Will be car pooling for Bathurst.
Fortunately, one of the people I’m going over with has a car as part of his work package, with fuel provided within SA…which helps.

Flying over for Oran Park - and have already purchased flights for this, because of the threat of much higher fares due to fuel.

With petrol prices increasing, the way we transport ourselves is changing. Which ever direction the world decides to go, we will race it!!
