Documentary CC PG

Episode One: The Brocks

Episode one looks at the family behind motor racing legend, Peter Brock. For the first time, director Tracey Spring goes behind the scenes and joins the Brock family as they face Peter's devastating legacy. 'Peter Perfect' left behind a mess. There were three unfinished wills, all unsigned or incomplete. As a result, Bev, the children and Peter's last partner Julie Bamford, are now battling it out for their share of the Brock estate in a legal marathon that is slowly draining away what little is left of the family fortune. Here is an extraordinarily candid - and sobering - reflection of what can befall any family. It's also a powerful testament to the strength of the Brock family and its determination to look to the future, however uncertain it may be

Was pretty sad hey roh…

I thought it was sad in that it didn’t paint Peter in the best light. It did open my eyes to what an incredibly strong woman Bev Brock is, given what she has been through.

The dredging up of the sad facts of Peter’s personal business is probably going a bit far. Yes, it is newsworthy, but as a motor sport fan I think that if the negatives are dredged up consistantly then it will erode the achievements of the great man.

The King is at peace. Let him rest.
