Lowndes car????

What has been going on at Team Vodafone with the Lowndes car?
The last three races it has had a problem. This not a way to win rounds not finishing races. Bring back Campbell Little..

Not great but is still certainly allot better than his time at FPR

As far as i know not much has changed as far as the team structure goes. Cambell is still Engineer for Craig, Kevin is no1 Mechanic and Cheif Mechanic for both cars is still Stephen Robinson. I would say the same about Skaife, Ingall, T.Kelly and even Rick Kelly… Once they get to being so good it’s probably all down to luck… They have on and off years… This year seems to be reserved for Tander, Frosty and Jamie… Last year it was Jamie and Tander and the year before it was Tander, Rick Kelly, Jamie and Craig as the top contenders… So i wouldn’t blame the team… As with everything it’s a matter of being in the right place at the right time and to do well is a balance of skill and luck.

Jess,
At the start of the season Cambell switched to engine development and Jeromy is now the engineer on the Lowndes car.

Hey people, cant always blame the team and the personnel!!
888 have a great track record with reliability but as in all sport things go wrong.
Whether JJ or Campbell is on the car would have made no difference to the issues that have occurred.
Sometimes things just don’t go according to plan…

Marie, you are spot on, T8 have had a fantastic run since 2005 and by no means is 2008 a BAD year, it just hasnt been as great as previous years….

the year isnt over and i have great faith that 2008 our T8 boys will be up the top by the end of the year….

The cars are completely the same……remember motorsport is a hard game…….think back to some of the drama’s JW had last year - Eastern Creek, Darwin etc.

There is nothing wrong with that chassis……….and JJ is doing a good job.

As for CL’s car this year -
Adelaide DNF was a crash…..if you will think back a little MacKenzie……remember Frosty, Courtney and CL climbing from thier twisted cars???????
Sandown DNS was a broken axle - a very freak occurance.
Darwin was an engine failure(supplied by SBR).
Queensland R2 was a miss fire caused by a damaged exhaust after it had taken a hit on a ripple strip during an off track excursion.

Luck is just not with CL at this stage but I’m sure it will return……….Craig has a great history of overcoming these rough patches. Thats what has made him a champion in the past.

i tend to agree Matt, it really has been a series of unfortunate events. However in true CL style i am sure that he will fight his way from the back and return to the top and T8 will get that 1 2 finish that we are all hoping for!

Mac, if CL was able to pull thru the 4crap years at GMS, 00 & FPR he can pull thru a small rough patch….

nothing wrong with my main man, yes it can be frustrating, but hey that is motorsport…..

Craig has a uncanny knack of hitting form around the 1st sunday in October….
