I went to the Clipsal 500 and it was the first round i'd ever been to. i wasnt going to leave the day without getting at least 1 ford drivers signatures. soo i lined up to see James Courtney and on the poster he signed for me he spelt my name wrong. and then when i saw Mark Winterbottom i got him to sign my book, and he signed the wrong page!!
didnt bother me though i met my idols!. =P
Funny V8 round stories!!

When I saw Max Wilson for the first time, I was really taken aback at how short he is. I mean, i know he is short, but he is so much smaller than most people think….he had a pretty rough weekend, I think he was off to the beach considering he had a body board over his shoulder.

Mine was when i met Jamie in Darwin
Had my poster and shirt signed, and he randomly asked ‘whats Fergies real name’
so i replied ‘Stacey’ and he shouts to everyone else in the line ‘ding ding ding, we have a winner’
and also clipsal this year i was lining up for Frosty and Richo and the guy behind me tells me that flirting was a no no, and started talking to Frosty and he asked what the guy said, i wasnt going to tell him!
James Courtney tried getting me to be friends with Shane Van Gisbergen.. theres more to the story but i’ll leave it at that!

Was working at Tasman in 2005 when the enduro rounds were almost upon us……the enduro drivers were duly measured up for their racesuits…….they arrived 3 days before Sandown still with the LAPELS SOWN DOWN !!! Umm, how were the HANS devices supposed to fit neatly through them ?!?!?!?! Night before practice where was Bec ???? Sitting in the transporter with a stanley knife unpicking stitching of two racesuits being kept fed & company by the lovely enduro pair
Another time, Bathurst, same year driving up with the Merchandise signs……..Cindy (other Merch girl) & I hit just outside of young when we see a tortoise………..YES A TORTOISE crossing the road……..Bec does the right thing, stops & picks the little guy up to get him off the road when he PEED on me……..drove the rest of the way with Cindy laughing hysterically and my arm hanging out the window as the smell was ATROCIOUS !!!!!! She still reminds me to this day………………………..LOL

Oh so funny… not entirely a ‘V8′ story but it is really cos it was while I was at the V8’s…
Eastern Creek… 07… June long weekend (my birthday weekend… hurrah!) and it was after a major rainfall. And I got bogged. Mum was with me and she was like “Rach, I don’t think you should park there” and I was thinking “What would you know mum” So I parked there. Then I thought better of it… but by that time it was too late. There was no hope for the Kia Rio. Mud was spraying all up on a 4WD parked next to us… so I said to mum, stuff it, we’ll just go watch the races and come back later.
So we went back at lunch time… tried again. It hadn’t dried up enough so we were still spinning and carrying on. And then a Saint of a man came along and got completely muddified and helped me out. What a champion. Then I went and parked the car in a more sensible spot… on the side of the road with half the car on bitumen.
The moral to the story is… always listen to your mother.
The end
Rach xo
