Dick Johnson for sure. Hands down. My father drummed it into us kids, barrack for no other than Dick. One man he always hated, well disliked was Brock.
World champion, yeah I would say Senna
I also liked, Barry Sheene and Mick Doohan and Wayne Gardner in the motorbikes
I have to agree with all the above but becuase I wasnt around when these guys were winning my favourite would have to be CRAIG LOWNDES 1996 1998 1999 (AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN 2006)
GLENN SETON,for his 1997 championship win with one of the smallest teams at the time
BARRY SHEENE, 2 horendous stacks and surviving only to be defeated by cancer at the age of 52, he is a legend and always been a hero of mine
My fave champ would have to be Ambrose. Such a talent. Especially getting what he did out of the shocker of a car- the au! He just wouldn’t give up. Shame he never won at Bathurst. I’d love to see him come back as an enduro driver, can’t see him getting time, though. Yes, I’m a huge Ambrose fan!
Dick Johnson I think stands alone as Fords greatest champion. He was the battler and could well be again but even though he cut his teeth with Holden, he, in my opinion will always be at the fore front of the Blue oval! Allan Moffat was always a favorite and Glen Seaton in the Peter Jackson EB…
Anyone that has been able to do championships back to back. It’s fantastic to win 1 championship, but to defend it is an incredible effort … (unfortunately I just credited Marcos Ambrose)

Favourite.. that would be Russell Ingall.
After so many years of wearing the bridesmaid tag it was awesome to see him finally win the championship.
