I work in Sydney as a Nanny for 2 year old twin boys. Each Weekend i Drive 200km Home to Port Stephens.
Oneday my mum asked me to accompany my younger brother to a V8supercar/NRL Meet & Greet and because he is such a V8supercar know-it-all, he won a 3 day double pass to that weekends round.
Mum made me go to that too.
I spent the weekend in love with Alan Gurr ( Come on… He's hot!) because my brother is (gaurentee) Jason Brights most dedicated fan. supporting FORD was Natural, i didnt relise supporting Holden was even a choice.
I watched the next round on TV and a small racing incident brought Will Davison to my attention. Very keen to go to another round, i was reading an interveiw in a magazine about "V8's Young Guns" and i learnt that Will & Jamie shared a house.
I dont know why, but that made my decision that Jamie & Will were my men.
It was untill decided to follow Jamie & Will that i learnt what amazing drivers and personalitys they are.
Some people like to argue over my claim to be Jamie's #1 fan, and my love for Will Davison, quite frankly i dont care what anybody thinks, i dont love either any more then the other, on any given day.
I go to Eastern Creek and Oran Park and try to get to one or two other rounds each year.
Ive been known to travel interstate, with no accomidation or transport for one day events. (testing days etc)
I definatly spend way to much money on V8 Related purchases - be it tickets, merchindise or simply travel!
My life is summed up by work and V8supercars. I occasionaly throw in a concert, having seen and met all of my most favourite artists.
Weekends inbetween rounds are usualy spent in complete down time, every weekend is like a holiday because i live and work in the same place, going home is a huge difference.
I Love doing anything, and am always keen to do something differnt or spontanious - your cant hate it if u havent tried it, same goes - I would never have found V8supercars if i hadnt been dragged along!

It was gold. Absolutely first-class effort from Mr Whincup. Possibly 80% because of the car and his team and his talent - but at least 20% has to be his fans!
