1. Lots of them….especially the old days of Barry Sheen "That was a major sausage" love it!
2. Barry Sheen, Leigh Diffy, Neil Crompton, Mark Skaife, Brad Jones, Mark Larkham, Darryl Beattie and Greg Rust
3. Definitely David Addison and Mark Larkham.

I would say Skaife or BJ for part three, but I feel they would only work if Crompton was with them.

1. My favourite commentating moment has to be Grand final race 3 2006. lap 2 when they flicked back from replay lowndes was off the road, and they start yelling. “Oh race leader and LOWNDES THAT IS LOWNDES he’s been takin out of it”- not the best moment for 888 fans!!

2. Neil crompton, Mark skaife, Greg Rust, David Attison and Leigh diffey - Barry Sheene was funny!!

3. Mark Skaife and Leigh Diffey

1.
“He’s Up, And Look At The Split, It’s Awsome” Neil Crompton, in response to Greg Murphy 2003 Qualfying Lap.

“Watch the leader- huge, huge, huge moment into the chase, 300km/h, surfs out the other side, almost rolls the Castrol Ford, gathers it all up, drops a bunch of spots, THE RACE HAS GONE OFF!” Neil Crompton, in response to Mark Winterbottom incident at 2008 Bathurst.

“Well, there’s the reason why the things got an oil alarm. Everything would be alarming after that, particularly alarming in your head. That thing flew” Neil Crompton, in response to Greg Murphy getting air in China.

“The Track Is Jammed, THE TRACK IS JAMED!” Neil Crompton, in response to Ambrose, Murphy Incident.

2.Neil Crompton and Mark Larkham

3. Mark Larkham and that David guy that was at Bahrain.

Jordan, top thread there mate ! gets the brain working this one….and boy I am going to show my age but here goes:-

1.) I have a few

” Lowndes and Whincup…. they have done the double” very excited Matt White, Lap 161, Bathurst 2007

” Unbelievable. Fancy doing that ? ” - John Bowe speaking on racecam, crossing finishing line, Bathurst 1989

“a 6.8… Holy smoke…” Neil Crompton, post Greg Murphy’s “Lap of the gods” 2003

“he has done it, he has put one on him up the hill, i didnt think it was possible….this kid is dynamite” - Mark Oastler as rookie Craig Lowndes drives around John Bowe, dying stages, Bathurst 1994.

“This bloke is the most god-darnest pursuee i have ever pursue” Dick Johnson addlibbing smokey and the bandit, speaking on Racecam, Amaroo Park 1985 (Whilst Chasing Jim Richards)

“When the car caught fire on friday, someone had the audacity to refer to the incident as a ‘cock-up’…. I thought that was most unfortunate” The mercuiral Doug Mulray, referring to the Daily Planet commodore, Bathurst 1992.

2./3 ) Neil Crompton without doubt is the best ever. I really used to like Garry ‘Wilko” Wilkinson as an anchor-man for the telecasts, Mark Oastler was great too. Matty white has taken a few years to get it all together, but does a fair job these days.

Q1. " THE RACE HAS GONE OFF!!!" Neil Crompton's commentary for Mark Winterbottom's "off" at the Chase during the slippery closing laps at Bathurst 2007. I've never heard Cromley so excited like that before.

"How's your heart rate?" Crompton's question to Matt White, once he had settled down after the Frosty moment.

Q2. Got to be Neil Crompton, he's the BEST in the business!!. I'd hand him the microphone for any motorsport commentary. He knows what to say & when to say it. Cromley's been particularly vocal recently about some of the poor driving standards, eg. Symmons Plains Q1 & Bathurst Friday practice.

I was hoping Cromley was going to talk us thru the Nikon Indy 300 at Surfer's, but it wasn't to be, we had Scott Prutt & Arron Noonan, but we did get Crompton's grid walk chatting with his "old friends".

Mark Oastler & Leigh Diffy were pretty good. Barry Sheene had some great one-liners. Dick Johnson's onboard comments were funny in the old days of Racecam. Murray Walker & Tom Carnegie for sentimental reasons.

Paul Page & Parker Johnstone from the old C10 CART telecasts.

Please do not give Skaife a microphone!!!

Q3. Mark Larkham & …….me, I'd love to give it a crack!!!

BTW…. pick up the latest Auto Fiction, issue 1318, great interview with Crompton by Foges. Recommended reading.
