I was lucky enough to attend the first Townsville 400 this year and that was a truly awesome event. Have already booked my tickets for next year! I’m also going to the Sydney finale and can’t wait!!

Had the best weekend. Had the funniest chat with Greg Murphy on Sunday morning. He was mocking me for being a T8 fan. Funny guy. Leanne Tander was really lovely too when I was talking to her. Wow… you did well to meet so many drivers. I didn’t keep track of how many we met but not that many for sure. I was suprised that there weren’t any photos of JW on the bonnet of his car in the Hamilton pics that have gone up. I got a couple of good ones on the podium but haven’t had time to upload yet. I’ll get round to it eventually… maybe.

What a great day today. I am not very popular in my house at the moment though because I’m the only ford supporter and I may have gotten a bit excited when JW won. Oh well… I’m a big girl and can handle it. lol. Should be another good day tomorrow.

Was cool to run into you today. So random. Will probably see ya round the track. Have fun.

Yeah, I was crying as well. I’ve followed Touring Cars/V8’s for about 18 years, since I was a little tacker, and MS has been one of those drivers that’s ALWAYS been there. I know nothing lasts forever, but if the goings on at HRT weren’t so dirty and dodgy, I think we would’ve seen MS on the grid for another year or two, and that would’ve put the goodbyes off for a bit longer…
Bit unfortunate that you didn’t get to properly say goodbye. I live in Tassie so naturally it was a necessity to go to Symmons Plains this year. Glad I did- got another autograph and photo from MS which I will certainly treasure in the years to come.
I think it might take Will awhile to settle into HRT, I think it’s pretty clear that for most of the first year at least GT will likely be the number one driver at HRT. I do hope Will has a good first year though.
To be honest, based on the past few rounds, I think the one to watch out for in 09 (apart from Jamie, Frosty and GT) is CL. I don’t think he’s past it at all just yet.

I’ll only be supporting the HRT drivers next year (as in Tander and Will Davison) and they might not be my number one preference- what with what happened to poor old MS, I actually even feel a tad guilty for deciding to continue to support HRT in some way.
I know it wasn’t their fault, but the politics that have gone on inside HRT over the years have rarely been clean and smooth sailing….
I’ll wait and see and decide come Clipsal 09, but it’s a chance my favourite drivers may be the Kelly brothers….
