Bright blames Ford funding

Jason Bright has admitted that moving to a single car operation with Stone Brothers Racing was due to there not being enough money from Ford for him to operate a two car team, however Britek will still operate. This raises the question again about the other Ford teams that have lost a huge amount of funding. Paul Cruickshank Racing seems to be okay given they would like to run a second car next year, and we know Triple Eights position for next year.

Its ashame would have liked to see bright do well in his own team 10 out of 10 for giving it a crack though,I still think he made a bad decision by leaving frp at the end of 06 ,he definently had the equipment to do well there at fpr

Edit: GET REAL!. (that better Alexia?)

Ford chucked a substancial amount at Brighty in order to run a 2 car team!!!. And with the substancial amount from Fujitsu General Australia, That was certainly more than enough to run a 2 car team.. ( without going into figures..)

Mr Brighty must be greedy if he thinks that wasnt enough…..

Miss V there is no need for profanities. You can get your point accross without it.

Quite often it puts a stop to conversations cos people are worried they are going to get abused for making a comment based on their opinion.

I have seen one other V8 Supercar supporter website become obselete due to the same thing occurring, I don't want to see this one go the same way.

Rember Alexia,
V was the one that said,
"I find this rumour extremely amusing as I myself have been told that Britek will on the grid for 2009,…"

And she was the only person to say atout of like 20 people, and was right.
Maybe she has inside word. :)

One has to ask the question if the Ford funding withdrawl actually provided Jason with the ability to think more laterally… as in it opened his eyes to the option of ‘merging’ with another team to improve the competitiveness of his car(s).

The withdrawl may have been a blessing in disguise….

Now Jason is able to take some serious (and much needed) commercial clout to SBR, and ‘merge’ his commercial inventory - Fujitsu, CAT, Irwin etc - with SBR’s engineering prowess. It seems a terrific match given that SBR are virtually sponsorless but have great cars. Britek has bad cars but lots of sponsors…

Interesting that Irwin will back the Davison car…..
