Blind Dates and why to avoid them

well i thought that i would share a blind dates expiriance with you all .. and i hope you'll share yours to
I only went on this date because a friend convinced me to do it ….. big mistake number one
He showed up still wearing his dusty yuck work clothes ( good start there mate )… after he scrapped the crap off the front seat so i could sit he drivs me to the local footy club for dinner ( stupid me was atleast expecting the cheap chiness place up the road ) well he goes and gets a table while i go powder my nose and can we all guess which table number he picked ( youd be right if you picked 69) wht did he think i was desperate and need a hint … he chances of anything beyond dinner kind of died when he showed up still in his yucky work clothes..
Smart me had organised a way out and was desperatly waiting for my mobile to ring and when it did he hit the roof saying that he's brought dinner and drinks i couldn't just leave now …. i got a taxi and went home
The next day he calls me for another date my reply " i dont think so mate "
This is a very good reason to never go on blind dates

he’s shallow. men like that are total jerks. i think men who act like that are totally immature and only have one thing on their mind. i haven’t really been on a blind date.

Ok my 1st date story its that bad lol

I met my hubby through the CFA away at a competition weekend , he was a HOT 21yr old and i was 17 i didnt think anything of it to start with , yeah just a guy just nothing will happen , he gave me his name & number on a napkin ( which i still have ) i didnt ring him or anything .. He rang around all the local Firestations looking for me , he found me . And we organised to go out for lunch .

He turned up in a VN Holden , he lost a few points with that one .. we went out for lunch , i had butterflies so much i sat there with my lunch in front of me and didnt eat it . When he droped me back home i bit his lip & stood on his foot , but he came back for more and have been married for 4yrs this Nov .

Ummmm… I’m assuming you’ve had a very stern warning to your friend by now. What was she thinking hooking you up with a guy like that!!!?

And how rude of the guy to show up in dusty work clothes, take you to a footy club and then expect things to go further after dinner!!! As if!!!

Mine wasn’t exactly blind but I was doing a hospitality course where we always had to wear our black and whites so always looked professional.
One of the guys on the course asked me to the movies (I was 18) and we agreed to meet at the local shopping centre which was close to my house and to the movie theatre.
As girls do, I was dressed nice, and I turn up and he is in old jeans, old sneakers, a shirt which was too small and a baseball hat.
He took me to the catholic club for lunch where I met his brother and they proceeded to fill in an application for a housing commission house together, then play pool while I sat and watched (would have attempted to play but wasn’t allowed!)
Had to even pay for my own plate of chips.
When we got to the movies, he said, you get the snacks while I have a smoke, which then left me with payment!
I spent the entire movie thinking “Please don’t try to put your arm around me!”
I made excuses that I had to babysit my sick sister after the movie so had to rush home. It was quite awkward at TAFE the next week though!
That has been my only dating experience as my ex was a family friend and didn’t take me anywhere on our own so I wait in anticipation for my second and hope it is better than my first!

Doe - thats a shocker!!!

I am not really into the whole “dating” thing, but I do take mates out to hang out (or is that considered dating too??)

Anyways… I was working at the F1 last year, and scored an extra ticket to the after party. I already had 2 mates with me, and decided to ask the cute younger guy from work to come along too.

So first up - he turns up late to my house. Then snores the whole way while I was driving into Melbourne.

I didnt see him again till after the race, and by this stage he had a few to drink, and was getting all touchy feely, putting his arm around me and stuff.

At the afterparty, he went a little berko when he realised it was an open bar (I dont think he had been to a party with an open bar before). Everytime he went to the bar, he would return with 4 or more beers.

In no time, he was really wasted, and then tries to kiss me. So I punched him. (Which greatly amused the 2 other mates I was there with)

Then on the way back to the car, he started spewing his guts up, and I had to walk back to the car and drive back to pick him up then take him home.

And yet - he still asked me this year if he could have one of my free tickets to F1.

Aww bless, men can be do stupid!

I had a blind date once and like you, will never do it again. He was going on about how much he earned and how he wants to get married have kids lalalalal, he decided what bottle of wine we would have, without even asking me!!!

Needles to say i was not impressed and left hastily!

He was short and i dont do short people, lol.

I had a bad blind date experience - it was a “friend of a friend”, he was a dentist. Picked me up in his Porsche Boxter, wearing a suit, rose in hand for me - then took me to a restaurant near the beach, sounds great right? WRONG!

The entire night he told me about how rich he was, how rich his friends were and how, because of this, they could treat women like crap (!) I was highly unimpressed and argued with him about this the entire night. I dont care how rich you are, if you are an @ss, Im not hanging around. It is frustrating how women will let themselves be treated because a man has money - I am definitely NOT one of them.

Eventually he dropped me home, attempted to kiss me which I dodged and asked if I would like to look at houses with him in the hills the following weekend, clearly thinking the date went better than I did. I never answered any of his calls and he eventually stopped calling…..

I didnt like Porches much before but now I cringe whenevr I see one….

I had a friend set me up a couple of weeks ago……so not happy!
The guy gave me the creeps the entire picnic ( it was a picnic with my friend her 3yr old, 17 yr old step-daughter and the guy she was setting me up with and myself)……………………………………….
If getting texts from another guy during the picnic did not tell him enough …he then flirted with me on facebook!!!

So not in to him, luckily said friend has not raised the issue again so I havent had to tell her what I thought of said guy and what she can do next time she wants to play matchmaker…………………….
I will kill her before I allow her to choose men for me ever again…..
