The idea was brought up on chat tonight….would a Whincup Community Aussie Racing car be a viable option. Just taking the virtual idea and seeing how it will go. Thoughts…serious thoughts please.

Well I am very interested to investigate it Jamie, I was talking to Dave from OzQuest, and once my exams are over I am thinking of getting some research underway and putting together some sort of a proposal….It won’t hurt to have a look into making this happen….

You know Mac, if that was the best option I would have no problem going with the Aurion. You could still market Whincup Community on an Aurion, because as far as I know, Jamie nor Team Vodafone have nay sponsorship agreements with Ford….is there anyone that could clarify this?

Aussie Racing Cars are a tremendous concept and the racing is franetic and entertaining, a great way of going racing. From what i have heard they are expensive little critters for what they are and the series can be tough politically if you upset the wrong people, but i have been told they are a blast to drive.
Jamie's 'quote' is pretty right - no change from 50k - and probably then some but they have good TV and a great following to offset that to pitch to sponsors.
Good idea Muz, i would certainly be cheering on if you could get something together. Not that the site needs much advertising - it is going gangbusters as it is….

I would rather runin a Ford though lol.
But the I saw the Aurion in Aussie Racing Cars at Indy, it looked fair cool.
