Another round in the Middle East?

Can someone get rid of Cochrane before I completely boycott V8SC… he has no idea… arghhhhhh (the first line of the article says it all. ROFL)

I must admit that I don't know how the grandstands cope with all the spectators in Bahrain. (Note sarcasm)

“Australia’s V8 Supercars” yeh whatever, we only get 14 rounds a year which is not enough now they want us to forfit 2 rounds to Bahrain. Sure it’s great for the V8’s to go to Bahrain but i’m sure one round is enough!!! Grrr

Mr Cochrane - look at what just happened in Townsville and take note. Over 10000 tickets sold the first day.. Why move another round overseas when you can get this kind of support at home

I think one round over seas is one to many

i love the idea of going overseas for another round, have 2 rounds on the trot over there, look how great the racing was.

As long as it doesn’t take out a local round, although they could change Hamilton for another Middle East round anyday.

The teams would need to be paid a lot of money to overcome the lack of exposure the sponsors get in Bahrain due to the woeful telecast times in Australia.

I could understand going there if it was going to help make a new V8 Supercar market grow. However, Bahrain only has a little over 1 million people, so it would take generations of change to get even 10,000 people interested enough to attend a race meeting . Without the tribal Ford versus Holden situation we have in Australia , I can see that happening.

I think it would be the same with any middle eastern country V8 Supercar goes to.
