Wondering why the 07 cars didnt have Sony Ericsson on them, it was on the transporter & apparel, but not the cars. was this a sponsership deal that went bust after merchandise was signed off.

Hey mate, the deal with Sony Ericsson didn’t provide in their contract any livery on the racecars - the deal was for transporter, merchandise etc!

Just on the liveries, is the orange a different shade this year? Or is it that there is more silver on the front this year? It just looks to me as though one of the colours is different.

don’t know about on TV, but the old HRT cars looked the goods in person (and i’m as ford as you’ll get). they looked agro, stood out just enough, and classy. the new ones look like someones playing with the contrast knob in person. i actually had a hard time identifying them for the first couple of laps of practice, the signage didn’t stand out anywhere near enough

It is amazing the colour difference you see on telly and in photos to the actual colour. The tv shots make the car look great, but the real colour is awesome. I have hundreds of photos of the TV cars and I am still to get that perfect colour shot. Guess I will just have to keep trying ;).

Was wondering over the w/e, is the chrome the sam as last year? it seems to look more black than last years chrome, but yes this years cars look 1000% better than last years. and i LOVED last years scheme!!!!!!

I agree with the colour difference. The cars look so good in person, but on TV, it looks more red.
This is a bit of an off-topic, but with the Chrome on the bonnet this year, could that cause a problem to the drivers with sun reflection, or are you far enough back and down to not see the bonnet?

When we 1st saw the cars at winton last year, we nearly creamed!!! the pictures & TV just dont do the colour justice!!! it is awesome to say the least.

Hey Rohan, do you have the 1/18th models of last years cars? I’ve only got the 1/43rd and 1/64th, but they got the colours pretty spot on i reckon. Although one thing i have noticed, is the Chrome on my Whincup is shinier than the Lowndes car. Waiting for the Bathurst Winner model, any ideas on a release date for that?

Hey richard, release date is for the 3rd quater of this year, dispite TVF website saying april it will be later in the year.
& no i dont have last years cars yet, long story but when the money comes in they will be mine
currently trying to get a 2006 whincup car in 1:18 ( i only collect 1:18)
